Student Note booking
This goal strongly says that the attitude of the teacher and the behaviors of the teacher transfers into the community of the classroom. I really tried from the beginning of the semester once I learned the importance of science notebooks to model using mine and getting students in the habit of using theirs. More importantly getting students to use their notebooks for a purpose. I strived this semester to get this positive community in the classroom. I feel that the photographs above are evidence of the positive community we have created in the classroom my behaviors have effected the students in my class. Additionally, I believe these photos highlight one of my core beliefs. I believe students should be working together and learning that scientists share their ideas and learn from one another. In the photos you see students working together to collect observations. They are holding discussions about what they see and what they are recording in their science notebooks.
